Basketball is one kind of sports that is very popular in senior high school. It is because the way to play it is very interesting and the thing that we use is very easy to find. Basketball is a teamwork in which two teams of five players try to get their points by throwing a ball through the top of the basketball hoop while obeying a set of rule.
The things in playing basketball are ball, ring, shoes, shirt, whistle, scoring board and goblet. Scoring board is the thing that we use to write the points. Goblet is the throphy that the winner gets if they are successful in competition. All of these things we can find in a sport shop, in a mall or in a market, and the prices are also not to expensive.
In playing basketball there are some ways that we use. First, dribble, is the act of bouncing the ball continuously by one hand and it is requirement for a player to take steps with steal the ball. This is when the player make physical contact with another player with to rationable effort to steal the ball. Second, passing, is a method of moving the ball between players. It skills that makes you very appreciative on the court. Players will love to be on your team and best of all, you will get to control the ball. Then blocking, a block is performed when, after a shot attempt, a defender attempts to change the shot by touching the ball. After that defensive stance, is a skill that can truly set you apart as a great player. Defense is mostly intensify and important, but you need some technique. And then offensive stance, normally involves planned passes and movements by players without the ball. Then fast break, is throwing and catching the ball fastly with the team. After that ballhandling, is what the player does with that dribble. And break time, is the time to take rest. Then shooting, is an act of attempting to score points by throwing the ball through the basket. The last is foot work, it is a capability of the feet to run as fast as possible.
So, from these above, many school are very interested in joining the basketball competition. They try to be the best and get the winner. The winner usually gets money and goblet or the throphy. And after that they can be a popular school.
